Didn’t we have a lovely day….
the day we went to the Point Clear Tramway! It’s that time of year again when the MPLR staff have their annual outing and once again they opted to visit the Point Clear Tramway. This time they took ‘Vincent’ and William Smith as driver. Unfortunately Job was busy but Hamish and Terry had a lovely day!
The PCT is a lovely little railway with lots to see and visit and the boys couldn’t wait to go down the line to visit the local quarry, just to see if it was as good as their own Moreton Pit! Unfortunately being Bank Holiday it was shut, never mind lads another day!
Further down the line the wood yard still had some members of staff about, this one was a little stiff lipped!
Not far from the wood yard is a lovely canal where the wood is brought in by narrow boat. The boys were most impressed with this!
Meanwhile William was in search of something more liquid for himself….
So where have the boys got dropped off at now?
Ah, so that’s why they were so excited! It’s the Railway Tavern!
William however, discovered this delightful country church where there was a wedding going on! How lovely, you can almost here the bells!
Hamish and Terry decided to see if they could find a shop open to take something back for Job, a stick of rock maybe?
All too soon it was time to be heading back to the MPLR once more. All aboard lads!
Our thanks to the staff of the Point Clear Tramway for yet again a lovely day.

Looks like a lovely place to visit, but rather a long way from RM12 so didn’t join you. Sad that MPLR visit was rained off, like most open days this year.
