New passing loop!
Following the purchase of tonnes of track, we were able to proceed with the line extensions.
Here we see the PW crew completeing the ballasting of the new track. This, the first phase of the extension work is almost complete and work will soon begin on the sidings and cross-over. If only the contractors would start work on the station and engine sheds all would be well.

… and pose for a team photo. The tracked loader in the background is a 1985 Tonka. It has proved invaluable performing all sorts of duties, but is mainly employed in the gravel pit. Hamish’s pride and joy.
